Due to the challenges involved in a continuous process, it is advantageous to carry out many steps inline. Post-processing operations such as adhesive bonding, film wrapping, painting, coating, and printing must all be carefully prepared, since that makes the handling more efficient.

With Openair Plasma® technology, you can pretreat your product, prepare it for subsequent production processes, and increase its quality. The variety is great: In medical technology and the production of catheters, for example, the durability of the print on the catheter is a crucial factor.

Or plastic compounds such as wood-plastic composites (WPC) in most cases require surface treatment for reliable bonding. Openair Plasma® technology can be precisely adjusted to the profile and enables uniform surface treatment even with difficult geometries.

The same applies to EPDM profiles, whose activation permanently improves adhesion, e.g. for flocking, adhesive tape application and slide coating. Previous mechanical brushing and wet chemical processes are replaced by an environmentally friendly, safe, and faster process.

Our PlasmaTalk “Inline surface treatment with Openair-Plasma® for the global extrusion industry“ covers:

  • Basic functionality of Plasma technology
  • Overview over different extrusion applications
  • Special automation requirements in the extrusion industry
  • Fully inline integrated Plasma process with quality assurance functions
  • Current and new Plasma systems (e.g. new jet adjustments)

After your participation in this free of charge PlasmaTalk by Joachim Schüßler, Sales Manager Plasmatreat Germany, you will be able to evaluate how Plasma optimizes your production process and how it helps you to manufacture a durable as well as safe product.

The PlasmaTalk will last approximately 40-60 minutes plus a question-and-answer session.

If you have a specific question, please send it in advance to academy@plasmatreat.de so that we can incorporate it into the program.
